The hours vary with each program. Typically the programs are 3 hours long, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for the evening program and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for the day program. Currently, Woodbury and Waconia have groups on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Shakopee and Cloquet currently have groups on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

What kind of treatment do I need?

There are many types of treatment options available, from outpatient or day programs to residential care. The best way to see what you need is to complete a chemical use assessment administered by a professional. They can help you make the right treatment choice and can provide you with referrals.

How does the Family Program work?

Haven Chemical Health Systems believes that family involvement is critical for success to happen. We encourage family and support persons to be involved with treatment by attending a one-on-one meeting with a counselor and/or attending family night.

How much does treatment cost? Does insurance pay for treatment?

Haven Chemical Health Systems accepts nearly all insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, HealthPartners, Medica, United Healthcare, Preferred One, and Cigna.  You will be responsible for any co-pays and deductibles for treatment as well as any charges your insurance plan does not cover.

We do verify insurance prior to you coming to treatment to ensure that there is coverage, although this is not a complete guarantee of coverage. We also bill your insurance company for you as a courtesy. Depending on the length of time of your treatment plan, the program you're enrolled in, and your insurance plan, treatment costs will vary.

I am going to residential treatment, how long will I need to wait to be admitted?

The wait time will always vary.  From the time of your initial phone call, it may be anywhere from a day to a week. We do have an occasional same-day admission. When you call to inquire about the program, we will be able to give you an accurate waiting estimate at that time.

Medical history, current physical, and medication list signed by your physician that must have been completed no more than 30 days prior to your start of treatment.

I am going to residential treatment, what can or can’t I bring with me?

You cannot bring cell phones or electronics, nor can you receive or make any phone calls during your first three days.

If you have any currently prescribed medications, you must bring them in the original container from the pharmacy.  Bring your insurance information with you in case you would need any additional medications or medical care during your stay.

Please do not bring, scissors, metal nail files, or other sharp objects. These items will be locked up during your stay and returned to you at discharge.

You may bring items you wish to make your stay more comfortable such as clothing, pajamas, books, and toiletries.
